Myra will talk about the background and history of the ancient Japanese art of Kumihimo in Japan and its use in the modern world.

Presenter Bio:  

Myra Chang is a professionally trained educator who began weaving 50 years ago.  She offers individual and group instruction in hand weaving, dyeing (both natural and chemical), botanical printing, and kumihimo braiding.  Myra is a member of Las Arañas Spinners and Weavers Guild and Fiber to Finish Guild.
