Celebrating 50 Years of Fiber Arts in Northern Colorado

Janet DeBoer held an organizational meeting to start a guild at an informal group picnic in August 1973. The last person to get the sign-up sheet for jobs was Drury Spurlock Milstein. She became the “Person to Conduct Meetings” (the first President). The first meeting was held in Fort Collins at Judy Pierson’s home; 27 people attended.

Over the years, membership has grown and is currently well over 100 members. There have been 38 presidents, some who have served multiple times. In 2023, the Guild celebrates its 50th anniversary.
